Welcome to the 2021-2022 academic year. A common theme shared with me when connecting with parents, faculty, staff, and colleagues during the summer, is excitement to return to some sense of normalcy compared to the 2020-2021 academic year. I too look forward to spending more time as a learning organization focusing on students' experiences in our schools and classrooms and less time managing the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s): As The Public Schools of Northborough and Southborough welcomes students back to school on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, I want to communicate the health and safety protocols that will be implemented to begin the school year. First, I want to highlight that much progress has been made from one year ago when discussions centered on whether students would attend school in person. Our District’s commitment to prioritizing the health and safety of students, families, faculty, and staff during the ongoing COVID-19

Dear Parent(s) and Guardian(s): I hope you have found a reprieve from the heat over the past couple of days - wow, it has been hot! It looks like the weather is supposed to moderate this Sunday. I plan on communicating with families each Friday, beginning today, Friday, August 13, 2021. My goals for the weekly communications are to share essential information to families and highlight District level work. This communication focuses on when families can expect District information regarding health and safety requirements to be shared. On Tuesday, August 10, 2021, the District Medical Advisory Team (MAT) convened to discuss what health and safety measures will be in place as we begin the 2021-2022 academic year.
